Nice to meet you!

I decided to start a blog after reading some of my friends' great blogs! I thought I would do an introductory post just to share a little about our family. Tim and I have been married for almost four years. We dated for over seven years before getting hitched. We knew we were getting married long before we tied the knot, but I had a milestone to achieve (i.e. a college diploma). After college I worked at DFCS, but decided that it wasn't for me. I was out to save the world, but had little contact with children, and when I did, I was so limited in the help I could provide them. I eventually went back to school to get my teaching certification. For the past couple of years, I have worked as a 5th grade teacher. Tim has many interests (and jobs)! He works as a firefighter and a Communications Officer (911 Dispatcher). We have very different schedules, but it seems to work and we really cherish the time we have together. We are both Christians and live a Christ-centered life. We have to cats named Baxter and Bella who are totally crazy and act as if the world revolves around them. And last, but definitely not least, we are expecting our first, long-awaited, miracle in September. More on our life is soon to come! Thanks for reading my first post!
